EXL Media is a boutique media agency located in Incline Village, Nevada (Lake Tahoe). We have been in business for 30 years. We work directly with client accounts and in partnerships with advertising agencies developing and managing multi-channel media campaigns including Broadcast, Out-of-Home, Digital Media, Publishers, and CTV/Digital Audio. EXL Media primarily provides services to clients in these industry sectors: Tourism/Hospitality, Real Estate, Healthcare, Transportation, Financial and Nonprofit.
We are currently hiring for two positions.
DIGITAL MEDIA STRATEGIST
We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Media Strategist to expand our family of savvy multi-media channel strategists with the intention of bringing new insights and skill sets to our team of media superstars. The selected candidate
- Will develop, negotiate, execute, and optimize digital media campaigns. This will include paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, email marketing, and content sponsorships.
- Will work as a digital media strategist and/or account manager on agency accounts.
- Must live or be willing to relocate to the Reno-Lake Tahoe/Carson City area and work in EXL Media’s office located in Incline Village, Nevada. There are hybrid opportunities available for snow days.
- Must be available to work during EXL Media business hours: Monday – Friday 8:30a-5p Pacific Time.

Duties include but are not limited to
- Developing and managing digital media campaigns for multiple client accounts from an array of industries. This includes strategic planning and negotiating digital media buys.
- Working as an integral part of our digital media team ensuring EXL Media remains at the forefront of digital media initiatives and best practices.
- Account Management – including ensuring campaign deliverables are met within contracted time, excellent client Communications and Meeting Attendance
- Creating and managing campaign creative spec sheets ensuring creative deadlines are met and messaging is accurate.
- Setting up campaign trackers across all digital ad and campaign tracking platforms
- Developing, managing, and presenting digital campaign performance reports including identifying actionable insights.
- Proactively identifying, evaluating, and recommending innovative digital advertising opportunities.
Required Job Skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in developing and managing digital media campaigns within an agency or client-side environment. This includes 3+ years of paid search and paid social experience with Google Ads, Microsoft, and Meta Ad platforms.
- Minimum 3 years managing other digital media buys including but limited to programmatic, display, email marketing, publisher/direct buys.
- Minimum 3 years working within an account team as a lead digital media buyer/planner and/or account lead.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4)
- Working knowledge of ad serving and campaign tracking software, including campaign tracking tag implementation, specifically Google Tag Manager
- Ability to manage and optimize multiple digital campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Minimum 3 years proficiency working with Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build and maintain digital campaign dashboards and provide summarized campaign performance reports with actionable insights.
- Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot questionable results.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
- 3+ years Project Management Skills
- Ability to create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid digital media campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Team Player: ability to work with a variety of team members including internal staff, partner vendors and clients.
- BA/BS degree with emphasis in a related marketing or advertising major
Preferred Job Skills

- Certified in META, GA4, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and any other digital certifications.

Junior Digital Media Buyer and Account Coordinator
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team of savvy multi-media channel buyers and planners. This is your opportunity to live and work in beautiful Lake Tahoe. - Based on experience and job skill level, this is a full-time position: 30-40 hours per week

The selected candidate must:
- Live in the Reno-Lake Tahoe or Carson City area.
- Provide documentation of your legal right to work in the US.
- Have a car/transportation to get to and from our office in Incline Village, NV.
- Be available to work during EXL Media business hours: Monday – Friday 830a-5p Pacific Time.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Working with account managers to establish project deadlines and documenting and ensuring projects are running smoothly.
- Developing, negotiating, executing, and optimizing digital media campaigns with specific focus on paid search and paid social media buys.
- Learning new skills and applying existing skills to all aspects of digital media planning, buying and client account coordination.
- Working alongside account teams on multiple accounts assisting across an array of industries including tourism, hospitality, retail, B2B, transportation, nonprofits, government, and healthcare.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of media campaigns with focus on digital media including paid search, paid social, programmatic and direct site buys.
- Maintaining account project documentation and timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and assisting account team on needed tasks.
- Developing and managing web analytics and digital campaign performance reports.
- Setting up creative spec sheets and campaign trackers across all digital ad and campaign tracking platforms.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend innovative media advertising opportunities.
Required job skills:
- BA/BS/AA degree with emphasis in a related marketing or advertising major.
- Minimum 1 year working in GA4, Google and Meta Platforms within an agency or client-side environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ proficiency working with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Good communication skills including written, oral and presentation skills.

Preferred job skills:
- Minimum 1 year working in Microsoft Ads, TikTok, SnapChat, LinkedIn, Pinterest Platforms within an agency or client-side environment.

- Ability to build and maintain performance charts and/or dashboards.
- Passionate about advertising, especially digital media.

- Certifications in digital media and analytic platforms.
